What is your warranty policy?

We guarantee our merchandise to be free of manufacturing defects. We will warrant items with manufacturing defects purchased on websites within 1 year of purchase.

If your product falls under our warranty policy, we will ship a replacement to you, if available. Otherwise we will e-mail you an e-gift card for the purchase price, valid for use on websites or in-store at HOBO Annapolis. Please note, for warranty claims we do not refund the original payment method.

For warranty claims on items purchased at authorized retail locations, you may return your HOBO to the point of purchase.

We love the leathers we use because they do break in and look beautiful with age. Because leather is a natural material, there will be subtle variations in each item and the leather will wear over time.  All leather products require periodic care.

We recommend you use a high quality, alcohol-free leather cleaner or conditioner to maintain the leather on your HOBO handbag or wallet, or take your item to a leather specialist or cobbler in your area.

Please note: We do not offer cleaning, re-dying, refurbishing, or repair services. If you would rather attempt to have the issue repaired, we recommend a cobbler or leather specialist in your area. These professionals typically have the tools and skills necessary to assist with handbag and wallet repairs. Qualifying products that are processed under our warranty are not returned.  

Examples of qualifying manufacturing defects include problems with zipper construction, loose stitching or lining, or hardware malfunction.

Our manufacturer’s warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, neglect, or accidents. Some examples of what is not covered under our manufacturer’s warranty:

  • Stains or color transfer from clothing dye, beverages, or inclement weather
  • Damage from hungry pets
  • Scratches, soiled spots, or marks from normal use
  • Discoloration or dampness from storage
  • Damage from adhesives
  • Lost or stolen items
  • Exposure to chemicals or products with alcohol
  • Improper care

Warranty claims may take four to six weeks to process. Please read and print our warranty claim form and mailing instructions.

Do you repair bags?

Unfortunately, we do not have a repair service.

If your item does not fall under our manufacturer warranty, we recommend taking it to your local leather repair shop or cobbler. They might be able to help!

What should I do if my bag’s hardware is defective?

If you’re experiencing issues with the hardware on your bag, send us a photo of the bag and the problematic area. Although we don’t have replacement hardware available, we may be able to assist you under our warranty policy if your issue qualifies. Alternatively, a professional bag repair shop could offer a suitable solution.

Do you provide replacement parts or repair services for your products?

At the moment, we do not offer repair services or sell replacement parts such as straps, clasps, or any other hardware. However, our products come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty that may help you file a claim for a replacement or store credit if we can’t repair your item. For any issues outside our warranty, we recommend the services of a professional repair shop.
